Richelle Todd – Consultant, Board President

Richelle is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in program management, philanthropy, government, and the nonprofit sector. She specializes in program effectiveness, outcome measurement, and data collection, having trained over 100 program implementers. As Vice President of Programs and Operations at the Pascale Sykes Foundation, she strengthened grantee capacity and advanced the Whole Family Approach in New Jersey. She has also held leadership roles as Executive Director of the Fellowship of South Camden and spent 17 years with the American Friends Service Committee, focusing on immigrant rights, economic justice, and violence prevention.

Rethea Onitiri – Consultant, Board Vice President

Retha is an accomplished Organizational Development Consultant and Restorative Justice Fellow at Salvation and Social Justice (SandSJ), where she specializes in strategic planning, program development, process improvement, and change management. With a strong commitment to restorative and transformative justice, Retha leverages relational and data-driven approaches to create impactful, sustainable solutions for communities. Since joining SandSJ in 2021, Retha has played a pivotal role in securing major grants, including funding for a community-based restorative violence intervention program and the development of a Restorative Justice Hub in Trenton. She is the Project Manager for the Trenton Restorative Street Team and Safe Passage programs, initiatives designed to reduce violence and promote community-led solutions. With a track record of exceeding organizational targets and driving operational change, Retha continues to develop innovative programs that empower communities, disrupt cycles of harm, and advance equity-driven solutions.

Karen Merricks – Member, Camden City Board of Education, Secretary

Karen Merricks is a passionate community leader and founder of Universal Sisters United, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-resourced women and children in Camden. With over a decade of service, Karen has created summer camps, job pathways, and housing initiatives that empower families and strengthen neighborhoods. She serves as both Committee Woman at Large and North Camden CommitteeWoman, advocating for residents and working closely with elected officials to address community needs. As a Certified Child Advocate with the Division of Child & Protective Services and President of the Northgate 1 Resident Association, Karen is committed to child welfare and community well-being.In 2018, she was honored with the Parent of the Year Award by Parents as Partners. Her work as a Recruiter Specialist further reflects her dedication to connecting individuals with meaningful opportunities. Through every role, Karen Merricks continues to be a tireless force for equity, justice, and hope.

Benjamin Kenny – AVP CR Manager, OceanFirst Bank, Treasurer

Ben is a strategic business professional with over a decade of experience in Consumer and Commercial Banking, he is passionate about continuous learning and leveraging his knowledge to enhance both client and team experiences. With a strong ability to manage multiple assignments with precision and attention to detail, Ben excels at leading top-performing teams and providing training across various roles. His expertise lies in driving efficiency, fostering collaboration, and delivering results in dynamic financial environments.

Vania Abdul-Badee - CMO/Co-Founder, 360 Advertising & Communications, LLC

As co-founder, Vania is a seasoned marketing strategist and educator with 25+ years in brand marketing, media buying, and public relations. She has led high-impact campaigns for NJEDA, United Way, and Bloomberg Philanthropies, and served as Director of Events for the RiverRun International Film Festival—an experience that deepened her passion for authentic storytelling and amplifying diverse voices in media. A recognized thought leader, she has presented at national conferences including NMSDC, Black Women Talk Tech, and JP Morgan Chase, sharing expertise in branding, multicultural marketing, and digital strategy. Vania teaches marketing at the Community College of Philadelphia and holds a BS in Marketing and Accounting from Drexel University, an MBA in Marketing, and a graduate certificate in Digital Marketing from Full Sail University. Originally from Philadelphia, she now lives in South Jersey with her family and volunteers with the NAACP.

Dania Ceruti - CEO/Co-Founder, 360 Advertising & Communications, LLC

As CEO and co-founder, Dania has over 20+ years of leadership in brand building, campaign ideation, digital engagement, team and project management. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, generate innovative marketing strategies, and direct purpose-driven campaigns that deliver measurable results. Recognized for elevating brands and empowering communities through inclusive, human-centered communications. Passionate about delivering client experiences that are as transformative as they are strategic. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. She attended Temple University and the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Her experience also includes cross-functional team management to execute national campaigns, B2B & B2C marketing & visual strategist, and consultancy. Originally from Rochester, NY, Dania lives in South Jersey with her family and volunteers with the NAACP.

Corinne Chen, Esq. - VP Legal, BodyBio

Corinne advises clients on trademark, copyright, and corporate matters, including entity formation and dissolution, governance, and commercial transactions. She counsels businesses of all sizes on daily operations and regularly drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts such as bylaws, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, resolutions, master services agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements. Her experience also includes corporate transactions involving asset, stock, and membership interest purchases, joint ventures, and dissolutions. Before joining Archer, Corinne practiced at a Manhattan firm focused on intellectual property law. She earned her J.D. from New York Law School, where she served as Senior Editor of the Dispute Resolution Team and President of the Asian American Law Student Association, and interned with the Honorable Leo M. Gordon at the U.S. Court of International Trade.

Collette Douglass – School Bus Driver

Collette brings decades of hands-on experience in service and customer relations, with a professional journey spanning roles as a bus driver, daycare teacher, home health aide, and courthouse cleaner. Each role reflects her deep commitment to helping others and uplifting her community. A proud Camden, NJ resident and mother of three, Collette has dedicated her life to supporting students, seniors, and families with empathy and reliability. Her work in education and caregiving has made a lasting impact, rooted in compassion and care. Collette’s lived experience offers a vital perspective on the challenges facing Camden’s youth and families. As a board member of Social Responsibility Through Me (SRTM), she ensures the organization stays grounded in the realities of the community. She is a passionate advocate for educational equity, access to resources, and opportunities that empower youth to thrive—values that align closely with SRTM’s mission to educate, employ, and empower.

Alicia Garcia-Rivas - Student, Vanderbilt School of Medicine, SRTM Alumnus

Alicia Garcia-Rivas is a Camden native and former Community Resource Fellow with Social Responsibility Through Me (SRTM), where she helped shape the academic and social-emotional growth of young students through afterschool programming and mentorship. Her early work with SRTM reflects a deep commitment to community, equity, and youth empowerment. Now a Neuroscience major at Vanderbilt University, Alicia is conducting advanced research on brain function and behavior while contributing to nationally recognized scientific studies. Despite her academic success, she remains grounded in service, mentoring students and volunteering as a Spanish interpreter to expand access to care for underserved communities. Alicia’s journey is a powerful example of SRTM’s impact, demonstrating how local investment in young people can lead to meaningful achievement and lifelong commitment to giving back.

Mark Ford – Owner, Independent Business

Mark Ford is a skilled electrician and proud owner of Shark Wiring. Born and raised in Camden, NJ, he brings a strong work ethic and hometown pride to every project. Known for his reliable service and commitment to quality, Mark leads with integrity and hands-on expertise. A devoted husband and father of four, he balances family life with a passion for growing his business and serving his community.
